The Bureau of Land Management has launched a web-based tool to improve the public's access to thousands of recreation sites across BLM-managed public lands. These sites offer visitors unique opportunities and memorable experiences as vast as the land itself.
BLM provides a basic summary of the recreation site, contact information for the agency field office, fee information where applicable, necessary permits and passes, and maps.
Users can search by location, keyword or activity — everything from auto touring to winter sports.
Check out the new web-based tool at: https://www.blm.gov/visit
The BLM manages 3,735 sites through its outdoor recreation program, has added about 1,400 new webpages describing many popular recreation areas, including information on trails, campgrounds and national monuments.
For more information about the BLM outdoor recreation program, see: https://www.blm.gov/programs/recreation
Additional outdoor recreation opportunities are available through recreation.gov.
